MARS™ Categorizations
Our MARS™ categorizations are one of the main things that make it such a unique and valuable service to both our customers and the Atlassian community as a whole.
While categories assigned on the Atlassian Marketplace are self-selected (and are therefore naturally overdone) our MARS™ categories are assigned by us based on the true primary functionality. If you want to see what we mean, filter by "Reports" apps on the Atlassian Marketplace and look to see how many tools whose primary functionality is building reports come up.
This stands in contrast to our MARS™ "Meaningful Categorizations" whereby we have carefully assigned categories that really represent the functionality and utility of each app. When we call an app a "Reporting" app or a "Scripting/Automation" app, customers can rest assured that these categorizations have been applied with the utmost care.
