From fintech to ecommerce, organizations across industries have increasingly relied on the cloud to build and offer digital services. And this reliance isn’t expected to slow down anytime soon: by 2025, Gartner predicts more than 85% of organizations will not be able to fully execute on their digital strategies without cloud-native architecture and technologies.
Cloud technology helps companies lower IT costs, increase flexibility and efficiency, and improve security. These advantages allow organizations to deliver high performance and innovative services even as business priorities and customer preferences change. Millions of users utilize cloud tools from Atlassian to achieve these results.
Atlassian offers with four core cloud products organizations can leverage to accelerate innovation:
As teams flock to cloud services, Atlassian is continuously advancing its products to better support its 10 million active users. Whether an organization is already using Atlassian cloud products, or just considering a migration, understanding new releases help teams optimize their solutions. And by working with an Atlassian Solutions partner, teams can make sure they’re maximizing their use of Atlassian cloud tools as improvements launch.
Atlassian’s Cloud Roadmap is a public resource for teams to monitor the new features Atlassian builds to enhance its cloud products. Users can filter roadmap updates by platform-specific changes, by recently shipped or upcoming changes, or by categories such as compliance, to security, scale, user management and administration and governance.
Here are four areas where users can expect key updates Q1 2022:
Performance & Reliability
Improving product speed is a top priority for Q1 for Jira Software and Confluence. Atlassian is planning to launch faster Jira Software issue loading, faster Jira Software company-managed (classic) boards and backlogs, and faster page loads in Confluence. These updates will allow projects to run quickly and smoothly so teams can execute tasks on schedule and in line with key priorities.
Agile & DevOps
Atlassian will introduce advanced user permissions in Statuspage to give users the ability to grant authority for posting incident notifications, maintenance updates and configuring page settings. This quarter, users can expect to build iOS or macOS applications on macOS using Bitbucket Pipeline runners. Users can also anticipate multi-step deployments in Bitbucket to benefit from flexible CI/CD workflows.
A new “Home” button is being developed for users to locate important notifications with new filters and one-tap reply capabilities on Jira Service Management and Jira Software iOS and Android apps. Improved OKR experience is coming to Jira Align that gives portfolio managers the ability to create and track OKR with a reporting view. Teams will also be able to visualize and plan story-level issues on the roadmap in Jira. Each of these updates will help dev teams operate with agility and master their DevOps workflows.
ITSM
Atlassian is working to make advancements in configurable dashboards and reports for Jira Service Management. The latest update will include new dashboards for Request, Change and Incident Management, and users will be able to generate reports from cross-product and third-party data.
Work Management
Multiple updates are expected for users to improve how they work together across platforms. Users will soon be able to choose what’s visible on card layouts in project boards within Jira Work Management using custom fields.
Atlassian is also rolling out multiple updates to Trello including an integration with Organization Insights, so admins can review active usage with other Atlassian products and automatically grant licenses to active users. An integration with Atlassian Email Preferences will let users manage preferences in one location, and new workspaces are being added to the platform for users to streamline cross-team collaboration.
Forthcoming updates to Confluence include collaboration capabilities for teams to work securely with external clients and contractors, as well as automation capabilities to minimize manual tasks and improve organization across teams.
With continuous improvements to their products, Atlassian is committed to ensuring a positive user experience for every cloud customer. However, it can be challenging for organizations to know exactly what products they need and to understand every platform’s evolving capabilities.
